Affordable RTK GNSS receivers for use with GPS TrackMaker on Android and iOS
This page lists only affordable RTK GNSS receivers, an accessible alternative to traditional surveying equipment. Approved means that our team tested the receiver with GPS TrackMaker. The unit connects to the app, receives Online Correction and reaches RTK FIXED, the centimeter solution. Approval applies to the model we tested, not to the GNSS engine. Two receivers with the same engine can behave differently. The list grows as new models pass our tests.
GPS TrackMaker works with RTK on Android and on iPhone (coming soon). On Android, receivers normally connect by Bluetooth LE, by Bluetooth Classic or by USB cable. On iPhone, only by Bluetooth LE. Apple’s system does not accept Bluetooth Classic or a USB cable for this type of receiver. That is why some models on the list work only on Android.
TrackMaker does not sell this equipment and is not responsible for its warranty. You buy directly from the manufacturer or from the seller indicated in each receiver’s details.
New to the subject? Start with the article RTK in GPS TrackMaker: from meter-level GPS to centimeter accuracy, which explains what RTK is, where the correction comes from and what you need to use it.
Quick comparison
| Model | Price | iPhone (iOS) | Base station | Satellite PPP | Ready to use |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DATAGNSS NANO RTK Pro | $ | Yes | Yes | No | Yes |
| AK330 | $ | No | Yes | No | No |
| SMAJAYU SMA25R Net | $$$$$ | No | No | Galileo HAS | Yes |
The price scale, from $ to $$$$$, only compares the models on this list with each other. All of them are affordable. Even the $$$$$ is among the least expensive GNSS receivers on the surveying market. All of them work on Android, as a rover, and reach RTK FIXED with a correction. Satellite PPP is a correction received straight from the satellite, without internet. The table shows which system is used, because each one covers a different region of the world.
