Centimeters with your phone
With a low-cost RTK GNSS receiver and a correction source, the app marks points with an accuracy of 1 to 3 centimeters. The correction can come from your own base. With two receivers and two phones, one works as the base and the other as the rover, with no radio and no server to configure.
Centimeter accuracy with RTK
Connected to a low-cost RTK GNSS receiver, the GPS TrackMaker app takes your phone’s accuracy from a few meters down to 1 to 3 centimeters, at a fraction of the cost of a survey-grade GPS.
The receiver alone does not reach centimeters. It needs a correction received every second, which comes from the user’s own base or from a third-party correction network. GPS TrackMaker does not supply the correction, but receives it over the internet and passes it on to the receiver. The app’s RTK features are included in the PRO version.
Your own base
With two receivers and two phones, one works as the base and the other as the rover. GPS TrackMaker carries the correction from one to the other over the internet, with no radio, no computer and no server to configure. It works anywhere with internet, with no dependence on third-party stations. Requires the Double Pack license.
Correction networks
With a single receiver, the app connects to any NTRIP correction service with the data from your registration. Many public networks are free, and subscription networks work the same way.
Accuracy on screen
The GNSS RTK panel shows, every second, whether the accuracy is at meter, decimeter or centimeter level, with the value reported by the receiver. You know right away whether the point is good enough to measure.
From the field to the computer
Waypoints and tracks are recorded as always, now with the position from the RTK receiver. Each point keeps the accuracy of the moment it was marked and goes to GPS TrackMaker Pro on the computer over the internet, ready for area calculation and export.
Low-cost receivers
The receiver is purchased separately, directly from the manufacturer. We tested affordable models with GPS TrackMaker and listed them in Approved GNSS Receivers, with a step-by-step guide for each one.
What you need
An RTK GNSS receiver, a correction source, an Android phone or iPhone with internet and open sky. Where there is no cell signal, the Wi-Fi of a satellite internet antenna, such as Starlink, does the job. Under trees and roofs, RTK does not hold.

Both plans include all GPS TrackMaker Pro features, including the app’s RTK features. The difference is the number of computers and smartphones that can use the license at the same time. With two smartphones on the same account, the Double Pack lets you set up your own RTK base.

Do I need two phones to use RTK?
Only if you want to create your own base. With one phone and one GNSS receiver you already get RTK by connecting to a public correction network, often free, or to a paid service. Your own base works anywhere with internet. The RTK GNSS receiver and access to a correction network are not part of the license.
